Michael A. Staiano, PE, INCE Bd. Cert.

Michael A. Staiano is principal and founder of Staiano Engineering, Inc.  Mr. Staiano has over 39 years of engineering experience in noise and vibration control, and acoustics; is a registered Professional Engineer; and is Board Certified by the Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE).  He is a long-time, active member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Committee on Transportation-Related Noise and Vibration (ADC40, formerly A1F04) and also a member of a number of technical societies.  Mr. Staiano was the recipient of the Harter Rupert Award from the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Committee A1F04 for the best transportation-related noise and vibration paper of 2001.  Mr. Staiano provides all or most of the engineering services for SEI projects.  He has served as an expert witness for a number of controversial proposals.  Mr. Staiano has presented and published numerous technical papers and has lectured on various aspects of noise control engineering.  He is a National Highway Institute (NHI) certified instuctor of the NHI Highway Traffic Noise Course.
