Staiano Engineering (SEI) has evaluated noise impacts for a number of small-arms firing ranges, including—hand-gun, rifle, and trap and skeet shooting facilities. These investigations variously included surveys of existing ambient sound levels, fire-arm source noise emission measurements, predictions of noise exposures at noise-sensitive locations, assessment of gunshot noise exposures, and design of noise mitigation (including, noise barriers and facility layout) where necessary.
